Dendritic cells,for cancer immunotherapy.

Dendritic cells (DCs) are antigen-presenting cells used in cancer immunotherapy and therapeutic vaccines. CellAuto prepares them on a closed, automated line, from blood collection to a released product ready for reinfusion.

Overview

01

What they are

Dendritic cells are the immune system’s antigen-presenting cells. When loaded with tumour antigens they can prime a targeted immune response, which makes them valuable in cancer immunotherapy.

02

Why automate it

DC preparation involves isolation, extended culture and processing that are sensitive to handling. A closed automated line keeps the process sterile, consistent and traceable.

03

Where it is used

Cancer immunotherapy and therapeutic cancer vaccines, in clinical research and scaled production.

The automated process

Blood collectionWhole blood or apheresis blood is collected from the donor.
PBMC isolationPeripheral blood mononuclear cells are isolated.
Cell sortingThe target cell population is sorted.
Expansion cultureThe cells are expanded in culture.
Processing and dispensingThe cells are processed and dispensed into final containers in a closed system.
Release and reinfusionAfter passing quality-control testing, the product is released for reinfusion.

The steps above follow CellAuto’s standard automated dendritic-cell workflow. Culture and antigen-loading protocols are configured and validated for each specific product and site.

Core platform systems

Every transfer between steps is made through a closed, aseptic connection, so the cells stay in a sealed path from start to finish. The exact configuration is agreed during project planning.
