X Lab Series · Radiopharmaceuticals
The waste side,closed as well.
Automating production and leaving waste handling manual moves the exposure rather than removing it. This system adds a second closed loop: radioactive solid waste is collected, transported, processed and moved into decay storage without anyone carrying it.

Key features
Fully automated waste management
Unmanned operation from solid waste collection through to decay storage, which removes the manual handling step that automated production otherwise leaves behind.
Dual closed-loop lead pots
Pots circulate and are reused for both production material and radioactive solid waste storage, improving resource utilisation and cutting consumable cost.
Intelligent, compliant traceability
The management platform automates waste weighing, labelling and electronic record keeping, giving complete process traceability for inspection.
Coordinated intelligent operation
AGVs and specialised equipment run under one centralised scheduling system, so the waste chain and the production chain do not compete for the same vehicles.
Flexible production scalability
Transport frequency adjusts to demand, and the system handles solid waste in a range of sizes and formats across different radiopharmaceutical products.
How it works
Two loops running, neither of them manual.
This is the lead pot circulation system extended. The same automation that moves product also moves what the process leaves behind, under one scheduler, so the facility has no manual radioactive handling anywhere in it.
Collect
Solid waste is collected at source and moved into a lead pot, weighed and labelled by the platform rather than by hand.
Transport and process
AGVs move the pot through processing under centralised scheduling, alongside the production pots and without crossing them.
Decay storage
The waste moves into decay storage, with its weight, label and route recorded end to end for inspection.
Combining automated solid waste management with lead pot circulation means the pot that carried product and the pot that carries waste are both reused, which is where the consumable saving comes from.
Specification
Configuration depends on waste volume, isotope and facility layout, and is agreed during project planning.
