Recovery, washing, dispensingand release at the point of care.

The last steps of cell therapy matter as much as the first. CellAuto automates the clinical-delivery process, taking a finished, cryopreserved product through cold transport, thawing, washing and re-dispensing to a dose ready for administration.

Overview

01

What it covers

This process is the final, last-mile preparation: recovering a finished cryopreserved cell product, washing it, re-dispensing it and holding it briefly before administration.

02

Why automate it

The final steps happen close to the patient and under time pressure. Automating thawing, washing and dispensing protects dose accuracy and sterility at the most sensitive moment.

03

Where it is used

Bedside and point-of-care final preparation, and the cold-chain logistics that connect central manufacturing to the clinic.

The automated process

Cryogenic storageThe finished product (for example MSCs) is held in cryogenic storage at −196 °C.
Portable cryogenic transportThe product is transported to the clinic in portable cryogenic containers at −196 °C.
Automatic thawingThe product is recovered by automatic thawing on arrival.
Liquid transferThe product is transferred through sterile tubing connections.
Washing and re-dispensingThe cells are washed and re-dispensed into the final dose, with a sample taken for testing.
Short-term cold storageThe dose is held at 2–8 °C for up to 12 hours before administration.

The steps above follow CellAuto’s standard clinical-delivery workflow. Transport, hold times and release criteria are configured and validated for each specific product and site.

Every transfer between steps is made through a closed, aseptic connection, so the cells stay in a sealed path from start to finish. The exact configuration is agreed during project planning.
