Natural killer and cytokine-induced killer cells, for immune cell therapy.
NK (natural killer) and CIK (cytokine-induced killer) cells are immune effector cells used in cancer immunotherapy. CellAuto prepares them on a closed, automated line, from apheresis to a released product ready for reinfusion.
Overview
What they are
NK and CIK cells are immune effector cells that recognise and kill abnormal cells. They are used as cellular immunotherapies, often alongside other cancer treatments.
Why automate it
Immune-cell preparation involves isolation, activation and a period of expansion, all of which are sensitive to handling. A closed automated line keeps the process sterile and reproducible.
Where it is used
Cancer immunotherapy and adjuvant treatment, in both clinical research and scaled production.
The automated process
The steps above follow CellAuto’s standard automated NK / CIK workflow. Activation and expansion protocols are configured and validated for each specific product and site.
Core platform systems
Every transfer between steps is made through a closed, aseptic connection, so the cells stay in a sealed path from start to finish. The exact configuration is agreed during project planning.
